Term 3 Wrap Up
Term 3 was the term that brought the community together, both the St Joseph's community and the wider Weipa community.
A big thank you to all the parents and friends who generously give up their time to assist with the running of St Joseph community events. Whether it is helping on the BBQ, lending a poly pool, helping to dig a trench or sharing your talents in the pool, your dedication is greatly appreciated every time.

- Thank you Rio Tinto for your generous grant which went to assist the transportation of the children to and from the Kindy and Cultural Centre
- Western Cape Cultural Centre for hosting the Year4-6 Cultural Visit
- The locally produced gifts for Father’s Day from Weipa Pottery, Johnson’s Homemade Preserves, Leesa Klein, Eight Little Indians and Brayden Raye Lures.
- Western Cape Rural Fire Brigade for teaching Year 1 about Fire Safety.
- Napranum Rangers for teaching children about Turtle conservation.
- Napranum PCYC for leading lunchtime Indigenous games.
- NRL for leading PE lessons and the Gala Day.
- Weipa Mine Tour for a great excursion around the Mine for Year 1-3
- Western Cape College Indigenous and Torres Straite Islander Dance Troupe for sharing your talents.
- Bravo Company 51st Battalion The Far North Queensland Regiment for assisting at the Colour Run.
- Goodline for assisting with the planks and tunnels for the Colour Run.
These events have been a great success due to your generous time and resources and have ultimately benefitted the students.
We look forward to working with you all again.
