News from the Principal - Megan Pearce
Dear St Joseph's families and friends,
With the end of 2020 in sight, there is much to be accomplished before the last day of school on Friday. For this reason, we have decided to postpone sending our full newsletter till Friday so that we can share our final events with you all.
We would however, like to dedicate this edition to Starry Starry Night.
Thank you all for sharing the evening with us. It was great to be able to have families back in the school grounds and be part of the action.
Each year we are striving to make the concert a better and better experience for everyone. Yet again our staff, students and parents have worked tirelessly to ensure the evening was enjoyed by all. Being one of the only events we have been able to hold in this challenging year, it was a truly joyful celebration and reminded us all of how lucky we are to be part of such a wonderful school community.
From where I was standing, I could see the kids having a great time both on the stage and in the audience. Lots of smiling faces makes all the hard work worthwhile. From set up and Sausage sizzle, to performances and pack up there are too many people to thank individually, but I would just like to say that you are appreciated and we are grateful to you all for making our Starry Starry Night for 2020 a night to remember.
Thanks to the colourful T-shirts printed by Sharon at Cape Dingo, all the kids looked amazing. I’m sure the t-shirts will be worn often and will be a reminder of great memories for years to come. Thank you also to the school Officers who put together the props for the Year 5/6 performance and the teachers for being so flexible when at short notice our original performance plans changed. It was an awesome performance.
God Bless,
Megan
