We respectfully acknowledge the past and present traditional owners of this land on which we are meeting – the Algnith people. We also acknowledge the contributions of First Nations peoples to the education of all children and people in our country Australia, in which we all live and share together.

Feast of the Sacred Heart of Jesus Friday 16th June
This significant Feast day in our Church calendar calls us to “Learn from the heart of our loving God… a heart of love, tender concern and compassion.” (St. Marguerite d’Youville). The message of the Sacred Heart of Jesus is a message of overwhelming compassion for those who suffer—the poor, the sick and the rejected. It is a call to grow our hearts into hearts of love. Pope Francis calls us to always be in a state of Mission…the Feast of the Sacred Heart challenges us to make ‘love’ our mission. May we always remain in a state of mission as we grow hearts of love in all we do.
As we wrap up Semester 1, my prayers and gratitude are with each of you as you walk into the
final week of Term 2 and look with hope to a time of rest and rejuvenation. Please also keep Megan and her family in your prayers I will take the words attributed to Matthew (11:25-30), the Gospel reading for the feast day, with me into the school holidays
“Come to me, all you who labour and are overburdened, and I will give you rest. Shoulder my yoke and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in hearty, and you will find rest for your souls.”
