Welcome back to Term 3! Year 4 has had the privilege of having Mitchell Gulson (Mr. G) to teach them for the first 2 weeks of this Term. Mitchell will be finishing his placement for teaching at the end of week 3. The students have responded well to his teaching and Mitchell has made some great connections with the students to enhance their learning experiences. Mitchell will be missed when he leaves Weipa after his placement. 

The first 2 weeks of this Term have been a mixture of all things English, Maths, Science, Geography and Drama! The students were introduced to the elements of Drama and have started perfecting their voices, projection, expression and use of stage space to put on a play for their peers. I’m hoping to film their performances and share them with you later this Term. 

Reminders: 

• Homework is given Monday and returned Friday (starting next week) 
• Library returning and borrowing is now Thursday. Please check if there are any unreturned books at home and return them to school so your child can continue perfecting their reading skills. 

• Health and PE is Friday 
• AUSLAN is Thursday
