Hello families of Year 2, 

We have been straight back into learning this term with lots of different areas to cover. We have been targeting our reading so far, with Instructional and Guided Reading groups. We are improving in our word recognition and fluency!  

Across maths this term, students will be looking at telling time. We have all made our own clocks that we are going to use to recognise o’clock, half-past and quarter past/to. This is sometimes a complex topic to comprehend, so I ask that when you child is at home they practice telling time – both analogue and digital. It’s is a great little way to keep the mind thinking!  

Gentle Reminders: 

• Homework is given Monday and returned Friday 
• Library returning and borrowing is Friday. I ask that if your child has any outstanding books, that they bring them back next Friday.  
• Health and PE is Friday 
• AUSLAN is Thursday
