Hello Prep Families,  

We have jumped straight back into reading group rotations and InitiaLit learning our first digraph ‘ck’. We are continuing to improve our sound blending and reading fluency!   

In Maths this term, students will be exploring number and place value. They will be given the opportunity to make connections between number names, numerals, and quantities up to 20. Students will also have a focus on Geometry by grouping objects based on observed common characteristics and sorting shapes and other objects.    

A curriculum letter outlining all the things being covered in term 3 for each subject this week. Preps are excited to be back and getting to see their friends, we are doing gentle reminders about being kind to our friends and playing safely with others.  

Reminders:  

• Library is on Wednesday afternoon.    

• AUSLAN is Thursday   
• Health and PE is Friday, students to wear sports uniforms
