Year 6 Class News
Term 1 has been a busy time for the year 6 students, with the challenge of leadership in the school and several changes in the classroom. Thanks to Ms Jocumsen and Mrs Saunders for teaching us during the term, and now we are looking forward to working with Mr Mitchell for the rest of the year as we finish our Primary school education and prepare for High School.
A highlight of the end of term was the Cross Country. The year 6 students showed great responsibility in leading their house cheers, encouraging the younger students, and helping staff with setting up, running the day and clearing up afterwards. All this as well as competing in the races, where we saw some fantastic results and personal best times.
In our class work we have been learning about Volume and Capacity in Maths, continuing our emphasis on Reading Comprehension in English, and in History we have been learning about Australia’s Prime Ministers. In Religion we have been learning some interesting facts about Judaism and the first five books of the Bible.
Wishing you all a safe and Happy Easter.
