Year 4 have been busily investigating the properties of different materials, both manmade and natural, as well as discovering about the journey of the First Fleet. The class has shown great interest in our class novel, Tom Appleby – Convict Boy. Students have been getting a firsthand experience about life in 18th Century England and what children did instead of attending school. Many have expressed how grateful they are to have been born in the present and not had a fulltime job at the age of eight!
