Year 6 News
Yr 6 Newsletter by Yr 6 Students “Our Last Yr 6 one!”
We are so looking forward to our Graduation this week!!! We have been making a slideshow about our class for the night and can’t wait to find out who gets the Yr 6 Awards! We have been deciding what we are going to wear on our big night and we are very excited about it.
We all practised really hard for our Starry night song. We sung “Hope was Born this Night” and “Hallelujah”. Our amazing school officers (Rachael, Chrissy, Jo, Kylie, Kim) did an outstanding job to prepare our props and do some very last-minute costumes! Miss Libby and Mrs Edmonds were very patient as we experienced lots of changes. We were really proud of our song and know how hard we worked together to make the moves work and collaborate and problem solve. Miss Libby is secretly very proud of us too!
Our pool excursion last week was full of excitement. We did lots of fun games, had some free swimming and it was a very good morning. This reward was instead of the AFL day which was cancelled. It was just great to let off some energy.
As this is our last newsletter, we would like to write a couple of highlights from Yr 6. It was hard to remember some of them because we didn’t get to experience lots of things this year because of Covid. But we did get to do lots of great things. These are our favourites:
- School camp
- Getting our badges
- Running assemblies
- Auskick
- Designing our school shirts
- Mighty Rivers Flow song
We all would really like to thank all the staff at St Joseph’s for supporting us through our learning journey and we know that you all care about us.
We are looking forward to the end of primary school! Woohoo.
