News from the APRE – Week 9 2019
Nobody ever expects the weeks to fly by as fast as they have this term. It seems as though each year if we blinked we would miss it. I cannot and do not know how we always manage to achieve all of the items we do each term. Holy Week this year will be celebrated during the school holidays and I will endeavour to include more information about services for the Parish and community in next week’s newsletter.
This week for our Lenten promise we concentrated on our Minds of Love. This meant we were focussing on having kind and loving thoughts about others 100% of the time in our minds.
During Week 4 of Our Lenten journey we will focus on “The Deeds of Love.” When we do things for other people we are acting the way Jesus wants us to. We all feel very good after doing a special deed for somebody else. So, in the week ahead we will try to focus on making a special effort to do a special deed for somebody else.
Upon our return in Term 2 we will hold a service to recognise the importance of this time in our Faith calendar and what it means for us all. We will continue to hold our Monday morning prayer service for Lent next week, and on Friday at Assembly we will share the last 2 weeks of our Lenten journey for the children to think about whilst on holidays.
Thank you and blessings for a great weekend,
Amanda
