All of the year 6 students who attended the swimming carnival showed great sportsmanship and leadership, organising their houses, cheering each other on, and assisting staff and volunteers with the practicalities on the night. Congratulations to Eva Payne, Mia Wright, Charlie Lawrence and Ethan Marlow who were all awarded medals as Age Champions.

As we approach the end of the year, it is time for the year 6 group to say goodbye to primary school, and goodbye to Saint Joseph’s. In the past few weeks we have been completing assessment tasks and preparing for High School, including our weekly visits to Western Cape College. Now the end of the year is upon us, and we are packing up our room, taking homme our books and laptops, and looking forward to the holidays.

At the week 7 assembly, the class had the opportunity to share some reflections on their life at St Joseph’s. Then at Starry Starry Night we enjoyed our last Christmas concert in song with the rest of the school. The big event of week 8 will be our graduation dinner on Wednesday, when we will share with our teachers and parents what we have learnt and achieved during the past year (or years) at school. Also at our end of year Mass on Thursday we will give thanks to God for all we have received, and ask His blessing on us as we move forward into whatever the future may hold. 

Commencing on Monday all the students’ laptops will be re-imaged, and then these can be taken home as they will no longer be able to access the school wifi or internet services.
