Faith Corner - APRE News - Amanda Saunders
It seems a little unbelievable that we have only two weeks remaining for the year and it is hoped that our last two weeks – no matter how busy they are – will be ones of productivity and celebration. There is a lot to still happen as teachers complete the reporting process, preparations for our farewells and our final lessons for the year.
This time of year, is also a time for reflection and celebration of all the great work that we have achieved and the lessons we have learnt along the way. On Monday 11th November (today) we held a Remembrance Day prayer service that was beautiful and we thank Miss Libby and the Year 5 class for all their help in preparing the service and making it a memorable and reverent way to celebrate those who fought so gallantly for our freedom and for the peacemakers who continue to do so even today. The respect the students showed during the service should be congratulated.
Over the next 2 weeks we will have a number of events happening and would like to stress the importance of all of the celebrations that are going to occur – Starry Starry Night, Year 6 Graduation, End of term Fun Day, Principal’s Morning tea and our End of Year Mass. Details will be distributed via the newsletter each week and also keep up to date on our Facebook page.
The Cent Auction notices have been sent out and we encourage you all to bring along an item to add to the class hampers.
These celebrations are a way for us as a school community to celebrate all we have achieved, shared together and look forward to continuing into 2020.
With blessings for a wonderful week ahead,
Amanda
