Year 6 Class news
Week 8
In year 6 we have been completing assessment tasks and demonstrating what we have learned in the first semester.
For English we have been experimenting with reading and writing different types of poems, and in Religion we have been learning about the Ascension and Pentecost.
This term we have been learning Auslan as our language other than English, and some of us are becoming quite proficient at introducing ourselves and identifying a range of objects. We also say the Hail Mary prayer in Auslan most mornings to start our day.
In a combined Maths and Creative Arts project we have been designing and assembling shipping containers (cuboid shapes), so if anyone has a container they need decorating we have some great designs ready to go.
With the help of Mrs Edmonds we have been learning the basics of binary code in our technology classes.
The year 6 shirt is now available to order, and we are hoping that they will be delivered in time for the beginning of term 3.
