Year 6 class news.
Year 6 News..
Year 6 have been camping out in the year 3 classroom during NAPLAN, but will be back in our usual room from next week. Each of us is studying a different country in the Asia-Pacific region this term, and we are collecting and using statistics and facts about our countries in our Maths and Literacy as well as learning some Geography.
We have been learning about Jesus and Mary, looking at what kind of people they were and how we know various things about them.
This term we are learning the basics of coding in Information Technology with Mrs Edmonds, and we have begun to learn Auslan (Australian Sign Language). We are sharing some of the classes for these new topics with the year 5 class.
We have started using Google Classroom for some of our classes, and also for our homework. This makes it possible for us to all work at our own pace, and to pick up where we left off whether we are working at home or at school.
Next week we have our Athletics days, where once again the Year 6 group will have the opportunity to show leadership and responsibility in their houses and before the whole school.
Mr Mitchell.
