Year 4
These past two weeks we have had a large focus on us belonging to communities and how to take care of creation. Exploring a variety of creation stories and the impact it has on our world has further developed our understanding of how the world needs our support, now, more than ever. We have also established that small acts of kindness can also make a big difference when everyone contributes.
In Maths we have looked at temperatures and how to read thermometers as well as a bit of learning around our orders of operations (BOMDAS). We were definitely challenged but when we stuck to the order, we showed we could work these tricky equations out. We have also been revising all four operations.
We have continued to learn about nutritional information by reading labels on food items. We are making connections with the technical terms and our everyday words for food. In History lessons we are exploring how contact in Australia from the Europeans had consequences, both positive and negative.
