Year 4
This past week we have been so excited to help Mr Jason with planting trees around our school. Students were able to make the connection between scripture in Religion to watch we were doing by understanding that we as humans are here to care and love those living things around us. We also placed ourselves from the perspective of Adam and Eve seeing the world created after all the work of God. Students were asked to tap into their five senses and share their experiences with others in the class. We will continue our journey of stewards of creation over the coming weeks.
In our Math lessons students have had the chance to create graphs and explore the data collected by answering a variety of analysis questions. We will also look at how to read temperatures and base units of measurement next week.
Direct and Indirect speech has been a focus this week with students knowing the difference between the two and how to use them in a sentence and paragraph. We also are showing we can recognise nouns and noun groups with ease. The next week we are comparing and contrasting between 2 animal informative texts. This will allow us to analyse texts easier as we move into First Nation stories.
