Hello families of Year 3, 

We have had a great but busy start back to the term. Our curriculum note will be going our shortly with a description of the different key learning areas that we are going to be exploring this term.  

In English we are looking at poetry and the different forms of poetry. The students have been working on their alliteration and rhyme and finding both in different poems.  

For maths, the students are using clocks to tell time and duration, as well as mass and the weight of different objects. We will be using scales to measure different amounts and hiding some boxes to order from heaviest to lightest without seeing the items. 

A reminder that Year 3 homework is given out on a Monday and is to be given back on a Friday. We will borrow books on a Friday and theses will be sent home with homework folders.
