Year 1
Dear Parents and Guardians,
Welcome to Week 1 Term 4. The students have been working very hard during the past 2 weeks and have settled back into the school routine. We have welcomed three new students into our class and have enjoyed getting to know each other.
Maths
In Maths the past two weeks Year One have been looking Shape in Maths and lines of symmetry in 2D shapes. They have been identifying lines of symmetry in regular shapes, pictures and have enjoyed drawing in mirror reflections of images.
Science
This term in Year 1 we will be learning about Biological Science - Creatures and Habitats. The students will explore the external features of living things and how they live in different places where their needs are met. Yesterday we helped Mr Jason plant the new trees in the school grounds. Mr Jason told us how the plants need soil and water to grow, and we need the plants and trees to make fresh air for us to breath.
