Year 4 News...

As the weeks go by in our school year, I am always so amazed at how well the Year 3 students are doing academically and emotionally. This past week being a challenging week with Naplan, the students were super resilient while managing their time well during testing.

We have started to look at measurement by finding things in our environment to measure to the centimetre or metre. Making sure we measure accurately by measuring from the 0, not the end of the ruler.

In writing lessons we have been working hard on some persuasive texts that we are hoping to hand to the administrative team to read in coming days.

Our Religion lessons are all about the sacraments of initiation still with us recognising the symbols for baptism. We are aiming to visit to the church over the next fortnight so we can see the symbols for Baptism and Reconciliation.

The states of matter are becoming easier to understand in our Science lessons with students working on finding the difference between a solid, a liquid and a gas. Science lessons will be very hands on experiments in the coming week so look out for lots of stories about reversible and irreversible changes of the different states of matter.
