Year 3
Hello families and friends of Year 3,
We have had a positive start back to school, with students diving head first into learning. In English we have been looking at procedural texts. This involves writing a title, equipment lists, ingredients and a method/steps to ensure what we are aiming to complete is done properly.
During maths students have enjoyed using play money to add different amounts together. We have looked at the shape and colour of different notes and coins, and how we can make different combinations of amounts.
A homework note went home to parents last week, if there are any questions, please let me know. A gentle reminder that every day counts, and we are looking to have Barry the fish back with us as we try and achieve high attendance.
Across our science learning area, students have been busy looking at the globe and Earth’s rotation that causes some parts of the world to have day time and others night time. We will continue to look at the sun, moon and Earth in the coming weeks.
