Welcome to week 8! Can you believe we only have two weeks left of Term Two?
We have been busy little learning superstars completing lots of our summative assessments to show our learning from the term. We have still found time to fit in some fun hands-on learning and this week we enjoyed a range of different activities for Reading Groups. This included playdough, writing, making CVC words and more! We always enjoy being able to participate in learning through hands on activities and are proud of the sounds and tricky words we’ve learnt so far. In Maths, we have been finishing up learning about duration and sequencing events and enjoyed carrying out some whole class activities that allowed us to practise these skills.
We have been busy practising our upcoming dance for our concert in week three of next term and are loving bopping and grooving using some of our new moves from our Dance unit this term. We have been focusing on weather and the random rain showers, windy days and sunny with a tiny glimpse of coolness in the mornings has made for exciting observing and discussion opportunities during Morning Routine. We are looking forward to making our water transport on Friday for Technologies and can’t wait to show you all our finished products.
We are super excited that our sports carnival is coming up on Thursday of week 10 and Mrs Backhouse and Miss Rachael have also planned an exciting slip and slide and water play afternoon for when we return.
Thank you to our wonderful families for another term of positive and supportive partnerships. We value working and communicating with you to help us in providing the best for your children and as always, our door is always open if ever you need to pop in.
Many thanks,
Mrs Backhouse and Miss Rachael.
