News from the Principal

Dear Families and Friends of St Joseph’s,

Next week, I will have the privilege of reading in excess of 148 student reports.  This is something I thoroughly enjoy doing. I am always proud of student achievement, big or small and take particular delight in being able to talk to them about what I have read in those incidental conversations whilst in classrooms or the playground.

I really appreciate the opportunity to learn so much about so many students through the comments of their teachers, who do a superb job in capturing student progress. I hope you as parents share the pride I have in your children when you read their reports. In week 10, you will receive a Semester One Report Card, released electronically via the Parent Portal along with a hard copy which will be sent home.

2024 Prep Enrolments Due– Enrolment Interviews Start of Term 3

2024 seems a long way away, but for the school we are already putting processes in place for next year’s Prep class, including identifying how many applicants we have and finalising our Prep cut-off numbers. If you are wanting to have two smaller Prep classes, we will need to have over 30 students enrolled so please encourage friends and families in the community to choose St Joseph’s. If have a child you wish to enrol for next year or know of a family who are wanting to enrol their child for next year, now is the time to ensure you have gone on to our website and done so via our electronic enrolment link.

Although we do preference siblings when identifying Prep enrolments, their online enrolment must still be lodged. The school will begin enrolment interviews early in Term 3. We look forward to seeing our new families soon and meeting our future Preps.

School Officer Day - Wednesday 14th June

On Wednesday we celebrate our School Officers. These dedicated individuals work tirelessly to ensure our schools are safe, welcoming, and supportive places for all students.

One of the most important roles of school officers is to promote a positive school culture. They work with teachers, administrators, and students to create an environment where everyone feels valued and respected. They are there to listen, offer guidance and support, and collaborate with our teaching staff to ensure that students are equipped with the resources they need to succeed. Our school officers play a crucial role in helping students reach their full potential.

So the next time you see one of our many outstanding school officers, please take a moment to thank them for their hard work and dedication. May God bless them always.

Wishing you all a great weekend at the fishing competition. Hope to see you there.

God Bless,
