Welcome to week 10!  

It’s been such a wonderful term of learning for our first term of Prep. We are well into the swing of things and look forward to an exciting Term 2 with new topics to be explored and new skills to be learnt.  

What a wonderful two weeks it has been with our swimming lessons. The children have had such a great time developing their swim and pool safety skills and it was fantastic to see so much growth in these areas in such a short amount of time. We look forward to using these skills in our swimming carnival as a fun way to round out the term.  

With the end of the term brings the sad part of having to say goodbye to Miss Neil. She has been such a valued member of the Prep team and will be surely missed by all. We wish her the best on her next venture and we hope to see her bright smile around Weipa. 

A couple of notes as we move into the new term, please continue brining hats and water bottles and our library and homework folders will remain on a Friday. We wish everyone a safe and enjoyable break surrounded by loved ones and look forward to seeing everyone back fresh for Term 2.
