News from Prep

What a fantastic year we have had together in Prep! In the last two weeks we have discussed celebrations, Christmas and the birth of Jesus and prepared for Starry, Starry Night. We have read with our teachers and Year 3 friends, listened and followed instructions during drawing activities, written letters and cards, made beautiful Christmas decorations, attended the end of year school Mass and had fun with our friends.

Name	What we learnt this year…
Alayah	I liked working with Mrs Neil and Ms Kim. I learned letters and sounds.
Summer	We learned about letters and sounds so we can read and write. We did craft, mixing colours and art.
Isaac	I liked learning about science. I really liked finding out how things move.
Luther	I learnt high frequency words and Auslan.
Vilisi	I learnt to count to 100. I learnt to write letters, words and sentences.
Avia	Counting to 100. Counting to 20 forwards and backwards!
Tasheena	I learnt counting, letters and sounds and skipping.
Hayley	To read!!
Ally	I learnt to count backwards and forwards to 20. My favourite was doing Art.
Oliver	I learnt to count big numbers!
