Hello families and friends of Year 4, 

Thank you all for a great start to Term 4! Over the past 2 weeks, the students have dived straight into learning and into the pool. It was fabulous to hear such great feedback from other teachers about Year 4’s commitment and behaviours at swimming training.  

In English this term, students will be comparing imaginative and informative texts, and identifying the similarities and differences in the language features, structure and how the author engages the reader.  

In maths this term, we cover a little bit of everything. So far we have looked at measurement and maps. We will continue to work on financial maths (money) and telling and converting time. The students have been enjoying doing small group tasks in maths, where they have to solve inquiry questions together.
