News from Year 4
Hello families of Year 4,
Thank you for being so flexible with the change to the dance date. We will continue to practise during the week, so we don’t forget our moves.
In English we have stepped up our writing game and began publishing some persuasive texts on different topics. Some students wrote about the need for sprinklers, class pets, BMX training and some personal home ones. Hopefully we can persuade our audience to change their opinion!
In maths students have been calculating the area, perimeter and volume of shapes using the correct units of measurement. We have been using the formulas for area and volume to find how many squared cm or cubic cm each shape is.
Year 4 have also had the opportunity to teach younger students in the school how to use laptops and perform different functions, such as cutting and pasting an image to a google doc. It was great to see Year 2 students welcome us into their classroom!
Moving forward, we will be half way through the term next week with lots more events to happened. Please let me know if you have any questions.
Gentle Reminders:
Amazing Race 19th August
School Photos 22nd August
Book Week Parade 26th August
