We have had a wonderful start to Term 3!  Over the last couple of weeks, we have welcomed visits from the staff and children at Cape Kids and C&K Weipa to our Prep classroom.  During these times, we have shared our learning experiences through songs, games, activities, and explicit teaching and (most importantly!) had lots of fun. 

In preparation for this week’s 100 days of learning celebration, we have read stories all about 100 and counted, counted, counted!  Our 100-days at school celebration with the Year 1 students and teachers was a big success. The students were engaged in learning about 100 in a variety of ways during the rotational activities. It was also very exciting to move into different classrooms as we changed activities!  

In English we are continuing to work on our letters and sounds knowledge and building our writing skills from words to sentences.   

Just a couple of friendly reminders… 

1. Please return completed homework in the clear plastic homework folder on Mondays. 
2. Library day is also on Mondays.
