News from Year 5/6 - Senior Learning Hub
In the past these past two weeks our Seniors have been busy during our Maths lessons. They have constructed 3D robots and are working on understanding chance events. Students showed that they can build their robots after careful planning of what shapes would work best together. Some students chose card while others chose Lego. So many creative ideas.

Our Year 5 students worked incredibly hard and show grit during our naplan testing this past fortnight. Everyone gave their tests a red hot go and walked out with a smile on their face. It might have had something to do with their wellbeing treats. ‘Do-nut worry about this test. You’ve got this.’
During our religion lessons we have been comparing the gospel writers of Matthew and Luke. Students were able to identify similarities and differences and even justify why these could be. Understanding the history of our bible and the writers allows the students to understand scripture through different lenses.

We also have two of our Seniors representing our school this weekend in Yungaburra for Peninsula Trials in Cross Country. We wish Luke Wright and Tremaine Tapim all the best. We will be cheering you on from afar.
