News from the Principal
Dear St Joseph’s Families and Friends,
Today we have organised this special Mother’s Day Picnic Breakfast celebration of fun, food and laughter not only to pamper and entertain our Mum’s but most importantly so that lots of special memories could be made!
Our staff and students all had a special part to play in the celebration. They did an outstanding job and should be proud of their achievements. Thank you also to Fluer and Mathew Kirk who provided the amazing breakfast grazing boards.
We also appreciate and understand that some mums had to work today and couldn’t be with us. To ensure you feel part of our celebrations we have sent home a small bag of goodies from today.
We also have a special gift that the children will bring home this afternoon ready for a Mother’s Day surprise on Sunday. This gift was part of the ticket cost or for those who couldn’t attend who paid $10.
As a school community, we are deeply blessed by the level of support we receive from our parent body, especially the Mums and it is something that we never take for granted.
I would like to take this opportunity to wish all the mothers and grandmothers and other special ladies in the school community, a very Happy Mother’s Day!
We will be putting up lots of photos of the morning on facebook.
Tuckshop News
I am sad to inform our St Joseph’s community that Cindy Andresen will no longer be our tuckshop convener. Cindy stepped up into the role when we were in need and has been an outstanding Tuckshop convener. Thank you Cindy, we will miss your delicious food and great sense of humour. We wish you well in your new role and hope to have you back on staff in the future.
Due to these changes there will be no Tuckshop next Monday 9/5/22 and Tuesday 6/5/22. PLEASE ENSURE YOUR CHILDREN BRING LUNCH TO SCHOOL THESE DAYS.
Parent and Friends AGM
Parent participation and engagement is an essential ingredient for student success at any school. We are in need of parents to become part of our P&F committee to ensure we continue to thrive. Please step up and join the executive. It is not a demanding role and lots of fun. The main role of the St Joseph’s P&F is to decide how the levy is spent in the school and to organise some ‘fun raising’ events. Very little fund raising is done and meeting are monthly. Please join for the benefit of your child.
Our next AGM will be held on Tuesday 17th May at 7-8pm in the school staffroom. I hope to see you there.
Formation of the St Joseph’s School Board
This coming Monday 9th May at 7pm, we will be holding a parent information night in the library, about the school board and taking nominations for membership. Please come along if you are interested.
God Bless,
Megan
