Year 5 News
The end has finally come. We have achieved so much and a short glimpse was seen at the awards night this week. It was so nice to see so many happy students proud of themselves. But like I said this was a small glimpse of our achievements this year. We have grown in height, emotionally, spiritually and academically. The Year 5 students are definitely ready for their leadership responsibilities next year.
We have been busy consolidating this past couple of weeks. Reviewing our factors in Maths and revisiting the story about Jesus’s birth. We also had the opportunity to put our knowledge of adaptations to practice by creating a hybrid animal that is adaptable to a variety of environments and habitats. Our artistic abilities shown and our creative thinking skills were challenged.
As we say goodbye to each other for the holiday break, we say goodbye to a few of our students who will not be back with us next year. We wish Summer and her family all the best in Yungaburra; Max and his family all the best in Atherton; and Antonia and her family all the best in Cairns.
I wish you all a Merry Christmas and a blessed New Year. I look forward to seeing you in the new school year.
