Year 5 News
These past two weeks the Year 5 students have really shown they can be great leaders. The number one habit of leadership we learnt about that is sticking thick at the moment is “Work hard and then play.” Everyone has been putting in 100% effort to get their work completed and they are doing with grace.
During our Religion we have looked at Mary in the scripture, her roles and how she is portrayed in images. Students were asked this past week to create a prayer card about Mary and didn’t they show their artistic flair. So many great representations and in her life were created.
Our plans for a recipe book is going to be something to treasure for years to come. Not only will we look at these recipes and think of the moment that the Year 5’s shared but also the wonderful feedback that the students gave to each other. This allowed us to grow as learners and acknowledge what a great job we did these past weeks with our preparations.
This week has definitely been a busy week with Josh Arnold here. The Year 5’s played a massive role in ensuring that the road safety campaign video was a success. We sung, we danced and put our acting shoes on. What a fun week and to wrap it off with a concert on Friday night with our family and friends.

The end is near but there is still so much to do. Our ‘Bump Up’ day will be on Monday where we hope to experience time as a Year 6 student and potentially meet our teacher for next year. We also have our end of year mass, awards night and many other fun in class activities to do before the end of the school year.
