Indigenous Literacy Day

The students have continued to complete activities to support Indigenous Literacy Day. The day is a celebration of language and stories of the First Nations people. Some classes have been working through the interactive resources which taught them words in Kriol, sang songs and took them on a virtual tour of a waterholes on the Tiwi Islands.

Sacraments – You’re Invited

The students have been preparing for their sacraments and have been learning about the Sacrament of Penance- a way to restore relationships and Holy Communion by preparing for receiving Eucharist for the first time. Over the coming weeks, the children will also prepare for Confirmation and will select a saint that inspires them to take on their name.

You are invited to attend Mass on Sunday 17^th October at 8:30am to witness the St Joseph’s students make their sacraments and celebrate with them.
