Year 2 News
Hello families of Year 2,
Thank you for a wonderful term 3. We have been busy with assessments and swimming to end off the term. There have been lots of smiles and consolidation of concepts. We completed an interview on 10 of our peers about how we use water to complete our Science unit on Earth’s Resources.
For English the students have been creating their information reports on an Australian animal. Their posters are looking fabulous and will be ready to take home at the beginning of next term.
Swimming has been fantastic! All the students were superstars and well behaved as we travelled to and from the pool. They braved the chilly water and were eager to learn new skills!
St Joey’s was lucky enough to participate in some NRL lessons with some visitors from Cairns. The students learnt some reflex skills and played some games of modified tag. It gave us the ability to build some resilience skills and sportsman ship.
There will be a new curriculum letter for next term outlining what we will be engaging with in each subject area. As it is an 8 week term, we will dive straight into new and exciting topics!
I hope you all have a safe holiday break.
Warm Regards,
Emily
